Round 2 of the Chiltern League at Teardrop Lakes, Milton Keynes, was back to normal cross-country conditions with mud, rain and some wind!
Despite a depleted squad, the Senior men held onto 5th place in the team standings and the Veteran men retained 1st place. Damian Nevins came home in 6th place followed closely my middle-distance specialist James Downing making an excellent debut in 9th. Jim Cooper ran strongly despite being on the night shift this week finishing 25th just behind his arch rival in the v40 standings. Luke Hunt continued his good form in 68th followed by Alan Wray in 87th.
Chris Finill continued his gradual return to form just outside the top 100 and Peter Norris had his best race of the winter in 114th There was a welcome return to cross-country racing for Declan Traynor who led home a group of athletes Graeme Jones, Sam Fenn, Nick Andrews and Noor Mohamoud. Steve Bland ran well with Jason Kabel, Kevin Conacannon and Tom Morris (guest) completing the team.
