The London Mini Marathon races (“The Championship“) are back again this Spring with the event being held on Saturday, 20th April 2024. The Harrow Championship team will consist of up to 6 runners in each male and female category for U17, U15 and U13 age groups.
Also being held on the same day are a series of Open mass participation races over both 1 mile and 2.6Km. which are targeted at schools. Note that all of these races are on Saturday and the main Marathon races (26miles) are being held on Sunday as normal. The Open mass events are the responsibility of schools to enter their pupils into the respective races and are not under the Clubs jurisdiction whatsoever – further info here.
WHICH AGE CATEGORY DO I FALL INTO?

Selection for teams
We will be using a mixture of some local upcoming athletics fixtures and also parkrun performances as a selection tool to assess fitness and performance capability.
- Parkrun – both Saturday 5Km events and Sunday Junior 2Km events during March & April 2024
- Area road relay races (if held in time during early April)
If you are a member of Harrow Athletic Club, please support your team managers in their efforts to organise teams and let them know you would like to be considered for the Mini Marathon event.
For others wishing to be considered for selection, please make sure you compete in your Clubs respective events and / or parkrun and speak to or contact Mike Lepps at Harrow parkrun (present most Saturdays)
